The first morph to be commercially produced was over 25 years ago, The Amelanistic Cornsnake, since then hundreds of different morphs have become available, new genes are being discovered on what seems to be a yearly basis. These are then being combined with the ones that are already known to produce more. Cultivars are being selectively bred to produce new lines, as in Amels where we are now seeing several distinct looks.
